What is it & How do I use it?
This is a modified version of the MacPerl "Droplet" plugin used to wrap perl scripts in mini-applications that can act on files dropped onto them.
This modified version reads in commandline options from 'STR#' resource ID 128. Right now you need to use ResEdit or a similar tool to edit that resource. Please name this resource "Commandline options". I'm working on a simple editor (written in AppleScript and FaceSpan) for this resource and with a named resource it is easier to decide whether the dropped file really is a MacPerl droplet or something else.
To use the new droplet shell you need to put the file "Droplet (Cmdline)" into the "MacPerl Extensions" inside your MacPerl folder. It will then appear in the "Save as…" dialog as an option.
Be careful! This software is barely tested and I don't take any responsibility for its effects.
